Every search I ran came back with either children's ear defenders or shooting gear. There was nothing in the middle for an adult who simply needs the room turned down. These are the middle. Four stars only because I want a hard case to throw in a bag, not because of anything the muffs do.
Would pay a bit more for a case
They work great, no issues there. My only real gripe is that there's nothing to store them in. I'd happily pay a few dollars more for a case to keep them in when they're in my bag. They're holding up fine so far, I just don't love throwing them in loose. Everything else has been exactly what I hoped for.
Stop tightening the band
I kept cranking the band tighter because I assumed tighter meant quieter. It doesn't. It just gave me a headache and I nearly returned them. I loosened it to the point where I stop noticing it and it actually sealed better. Four stars because it took me two weeks to work that out on my own.

Solid earmuffs. Mine had a little creak when I turned my head for the first week or so and it drove me a bit crazy. It's settled down now and I don't notice it anymore. Docking a couple of stars for that first week. Other than that they do exactly what I bought them for at my desk.

Three stars is fair rather than harsh. For the working day they solved something I had given up on. Nothing goes in the canal, so there is no soreness by the afternoon and no raw patch to manage the next morning. They are not something you can lie down on, and I did not expect them to be. Two stars and it was my own fault
